A
New York Times report recently revealed Facebook has
intentionally hidden, deflected, and denied the extent
of Russian interference in the 2016
election. Facebook, a platform with over 2
billion users, has an obligation to protect its users
from foreign interests that seek to spread divisive and
dishonest misinformation.
But rather than fixing and
disclosing problems in their platform, which would have
made all of us safer, Facebook has launched vile
smear campaigns against perceived opponents, funneled
donations to key members of Congress to persuade them to
soften their inquiries, and launched an extensive press
campaign to hide the extent of their
negligence.
We cannot continue to allow
Facebook to abuse our trust, data, and usership. We must
hold them accountable for maintaining a platform that is
free of foreign influence and that has safeguards
against being manipulated for hateful and dishonest
purposes.
Add your

held accountable for its intentional denial and
deflection of the extent of Russian election
interference in the 2016 election.
