Many of us are
familiar with the scary threats posed by
microplastics, which can contaminate our food and
drinking water, and even erode from household
products. But this newly discovered pathway that
these insidious particles use to get into our bodies and
lungs is freshly terrifying.
Microplastics
have been linked to chronic inflammation in the lungs,
"which can lead to lung cancer." So, the fact that
we are inhaling them at such a high rate is a problem we
need to address head on and immediately.
