They've been linked to lung cancer, among other things.

Humans Inhale Nearly 70,000 Microplastic Particles Daily. It's Time For HEPA Filters To Be Mandated.

A new study has shocked scientists — and should alarm the rest of us, too.

It found that, when we're indoors or in our cars, every single breath that we take likely contains a high number of microplastics, which are so small that they can burrow deep into our lungs.

Many of us are familiar with the scary threats posed by microplastics, which can contaminate our food and drinking water, and even erode from household products. But this newly discovered pathway that these insidious particles use to get into our bodies and lungs is freshly terrifying.

It's time for Congress to act. Sign the petition now to demand that Congress lower the cost of HEPA filters and mandate their use everywhere possible!

Microplastics have been linked to chronic inflammation in the lungs, "which can lead to lung cancer." So, the fact that we are inhaling them at such a high rate is a problem we need to address head on and immediately.

This is a public health crisis with a very simple solution: mandating HEPA filters everywhere to protect all people's health. Sign now to tell Congress: lower the cost of HEPA filters and start mandating their use everywhere!

P.S. We now know that we're breathing in microplastics at an alarming rate. We need effective air filtration, now. Sign the petition.
