Georgian and Lithuanian Cooperation in Energy
Efficiency
Georgia and Lithuania started cooperation in
Energy Efficiency Sector. The
Environmental Projects management Agency under
the Ministry of Environment
of the Republic of Lithuania has arranged a
seminar/interactive training
„Effective Public Management in Energy
Efficiency Sector. Opportunities for
Georgia“ for Georgian authorities,
namely representatives of the Ministry of
Energy, the Ministry of Economy
and Sustainable Development, the Ministry of
Environment and Natural
Resources Protection, and other related
organisations. The Ambassador of
Lithuania in Georgia Giedrius Puodžiūnas
opened a mobile photo exhibition
with examples of best Lithuanian practice.
The Ambassador congratulated the
international team with the start of
cooperation in the field of energy
efficiency and expressed his hope for
further successful efforts in
implementation of energy efficiency programmes
in
Georgia.
Currently, the mobile photo exhibition is located in the
Ministry of
Environment and Natural Resources Protection of
Georgia.
The project „Transparent and efficient public
environmental management:
dissemination of Lithuanian experience“ is
implemented by the Environmental
Projects Management Agency of the Ministry
of Environment of the Republic of
Lithuania and financed by the Development
Cooperation and Democracy
Promotion Programme of
Lithuania.
