Equator Prize 2019 – Call for Nominations

The Equator Prize 2019 will be awarded to outstanding community and indigenous peoples’ initiatives that advance nature-based solutions to climate change and for sustainable development. This year’s winners will feature innovative, nature-based solutions for climate change mitigation and/or adaptation, and sustainable development at the local level.   Please find the official announcement attached in English. It contains all the relevant information on eligibility requirements, selection criteria and how to nominate. For further information please visit www.equatorinitiative.org. Materials in Arabic, Chinese, Indonesian, Portuguese and Russian are available here.   Please note that the nomination period for this cycle of the Equator Prize is shorter than in previous rounds – the nomination deadline is 26 February 2019.
