In March, President Trump promised "anyone who wants a test can get a test." And earlier this week, he re-upped his promise, announcing that his administration would prioritize COVID-19 testing for more Americans.

Expanding testing is the right thing to do, but it is likely too little, too late. Experts suggest that we would need to test 20 million Americans per day by mid-summer to fully reopen the economy. It has been 101 days since the first confirmed COVID-19 case test in the United States. To date, we’ve tested 5.5 million -- total.

The only way to truly rid of this pandemic is to test early, test often, test broadly, and test repeatedly. When we look back on our response to this crisis, our failure to test the population effectively will likely be our biggest mistake.

Where are the tests? We need them now.

Sign the petition that we need wide-spread rapid testing now.

Let's get to work,
