In many
communities across the United States, families live in
constant danger, surrounded by heavy industries that
spew toxic pollutants into the air. This is not just a
case of isolated environmental risk — it is a systemic
failure to protect vulnerable populations who face the
cumulative effects of multiple harmful pollutants, day
in and day out.
Recent research
by Johns Hopkins University highlights the grave health
risks that residents near industrial areas face. These
chemicals cause not only respiratory harm, but also
neurological, developmental, and reproductive issues.
It's time we stop pretending that it's acceptable to
expose families to this toxic stew. We can no longer
allow industries to place profit over the well-being of
our communities. We need buffer zones to ensure that no
one is forced to breathe air polluted by industries that
care more about their bottom lines than the health of
the people around them. Sign the petition to demand
buffer zones and protect vulnerable communities from
industrial
pollution!
Thank you,
Jess
