"Through endless fights and sleepless nights, we hustle our way. Because this is our future. I can tell you that we are a generation of scared people, but very ambitious ones. United, persistent, and very good at action."

The C40 World Mayors Summit was a turning point to create #TheFutureWeWant. Mayors vowed to work together with the powerful movement of youth climate activists to deliver a Global Green New Deal and create a Global Youth Initiative. We were honoured to be in the presence of climate activists as incredible as Hilda Flavia Nakabuye, whose call to action must be heard by everyone everywhere.

We are committed to acting now to build #TheFutureWeWant. These young people have given the world hope. It’s time for us to give hope back to them. Over the next year, we will work to form a broad coalition of everyone committed to building a truly Global #GreenNewDeal.
