The danger of relying on fossil fuels looms large in destabilized geopolitics.”—Ember analyst Beatrice Petrovich (Ember) (the Guardian) Go to the polls Guinea-Bissau is getting an election in December. That’s according to the ruling military junta, which took power in a coup last November. Junta leader Gen. Horta N'Tam made the announcement in a presidential decree Wednesday. "All the conditions for organising free, fair and transparent elections have been met.”—N'Tam (Africa News) (AP) Here’s your campaign of the day
