The Ethiopian Presidency of the Climate Vulnerable Forum (CVF), CAN, IRENA and SEforALL partnered to organize the first Energy Dialogue to implement the CVF Marrakech Vision on 100% renewable energy. The event, which was held today on the fringes of the United Nations High-Level Political Forum (UNHPLF) currently underway in New York, is an initial step towards materializing what CVF countries promised two years ago at COP22 in Marrakech, which is 100% domestic renewable energy production as rapidly as possible while working to end energy poverty and protect water and food security . The partners and at least 30 members of the Forum took stock of the current situation and mapped the way forward towards 100% renewable energy. Attached here is the media release that was sent to journalists.
