Spineless executives at
Paramount are about to pay Trump millions of dollars so
he’ll drop a baseless lawsuit against its subsidiary, CBS
News.
Trump is suing because he didn’t
like a Kamala Harris interview CBS ran. Yes, you read that right --
Trump’s suing them because he didn’t like an interview,
not because they’ve broken any laws.
This is how dictators work --
silencing the free and independent press. But Trump will
only get away with it if the media lets him.
That’s why we're coming together
to demand that Paramount executives don’t cave to Trump’s
bullying. If we make a
huge public stink, we can put the media spotlight on this dodgy
deal and force Paramount to rethink. Sign the petition:

Paramount leaders are already
on the back foot - they know that paying off Trump could be
considered a bribe in the eyes of the law, opening the company
up to criminal and civil charges.
Trump is suing media outlets left,
right, and center if they dare criticize him. And each time,
cowardly media execs are giving in.
ABC News paid $15 million after
Trump launched a defamation lawsuit over a news anchor branding him
as a rapist, even though a jury found Trump liable for sexual assault. And MAGA suck-up
Mark Zuckerberg paid Trump $25 million to make a lawsuit launched by
Trump go away.
Unless someone draws a line in the sand, Trump will keep doing
this, and soon free and independent media will be
history. We can’t let that happen.
Californian lawmakers are already
waking up to the fact that the US is sliding down a slippery slope
of media censorship, harassment and intimidation, and have summoned
Paramount to the State assembly to explain themselves. And free
press advocates are threatening to sue Paramount if they go ahead
with the settlement.
Let’s pile on the pressure now and demand Paramount
resist Trump's blackmail.
