Do your part to reduce holiday waste by recycling or composting your plant-based decorations.

Let's Recycle Our Christmas Trees After the Holiday Season!

Did you know about the Philly Goat Project in Germantown in Philadelphia? They accept bare Christmas trees after the holidays and the goats eat them in just 20 minutes! This helps reduce waste and the uneaten trees are turned into wood chips for city trails. It's a sweet and practical way to recycle live Christmas trees. Will you commit to recycling your tree if you have one?

In other cities, such as Los Angeles and Chicago, similar programs turn used trees into mulch for city parks. No matter where you live, it's important to recycle or compost your plant-based holiday decorations. Let's all do our part to keep the sustainable spirit of the Care2 community alive by pledging to recycle our trees this holiday season.
