than two weeks to stop this nightmare! ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌

Sea lions sit on a rock off Alaska's coast.

Donald Trump is preparing a new attack on the planet by opening up Alaska’s Arctic waters to deep-sea mining for the first time ever. But now we have a small window to stop this nightmare!

If Trump gets his way, private companies will be able to rip up the seabed for mining with devastating consequences for Alaska’s fragile ecosystems. Critical sea turtle nesting grounds and coral reefs that are home to hundreds of species could be totally destroyed.

But there’s still time to block it. A public comment period is open right now and if all of us come together, we can overwhelm the government agency with public pushback to slow this catastrophe down. We’re racing to unleash rapid response tactics like powering a massive petition, taking out ads in major US newspapers, and driving as many people as possible to the public comment page before it closes in *less than two weeks* – but we need ALL of us chipping in to make it happen.

We have to move fast. Can you chip in today to stop Trump’s attacks on the planet?

Scientists and Indigenous communities are raising the alarm: deep-sea mining could damage oceans beyond repair in ways we’re not even close to fully understanding. The deep sea makes up 90% of all ecosystems on Earth and the vast majority of it is still undiscovered – deep-sea scientists say that they’re discovering new species all the time!

Yet Trump is racing to open up a staggering 113 million acres of waters off Alaska to mining companies. If it goes ahead, gigantic machines would trawl the seabed for metals, ripping up the ocean floor and destroying fragile ecosystems that Alaska’s Native Nations rely on for food.

It’s so dangerous that 40 countries have already said they’re against deep-sea mining and are urging caution against this new industry. Now, we’re at a critical moment to stop Trump's plan to gut our oceans. The public comment period is a key opportunity for us to show just how many of us are against this planet-wrecking proposal – and with all of us chipping in, we can make our voices impossible to ignore.

Together, we can defend our planet from Trump’s reckless attacks. Can you chip in to help?
