Please be advised that the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development has started working on the revision of its Energy Sector Strategy (ESS). The current EBRD Energy Strategy, which has been guiding the Bank’s investments in the energy sector since 2014, is available in English at http://www.ebrd.com/what-we-do/sectors-and-topics/power-and-energy-overview.html

The EBRD is inviting all interested stakeholders to comment on the Bank’s current strategy in the energy sector atenergysect...@ebrd.com no later than 1 February 2018. The EBRD is seeking input from the widest possible range of stakeholders to ensure that its review is informed by an awareness of the full range of concerns and opportunities.

The review of the ESS will proceed in a two-stage process. The current invitation to comment is part of the public consultation in the pre-drafting stage. The second stage will include public consultations on the draft ESS. The Bank expects that the draft ESS will be published in the second half of 2018 and that the new strategy will be adopted by the end of 2018.
