Every few
months, new scientific reports remind us again and again
that we, as a collective species, are about to push the
Earth past the climate tipping point — from which there
is no return. One of the largest contributors to climate
change is the fossil fuel industry, which creates
horrifying levels of greenhouse gas emissions. Yet some
of the most powerful players in the world, including Big
Banks, are refusing to take a step back from this dirty
industry. The 2021 Banking on Climate Chaos report
reveals that JPMorgan Chase, Citi, Wells Fargo,
and Bank of America are the four worst banking
institutions because of their heavy investments
in fossil fuels. Apparently, they're ready and
willing to throw the fate of our entire planet to the
winds.
Luckily,
not all banks are determined to wreck our planet's
future. Some have explicitly decided not to
invest in fossil fuels, including BNP Paribas bank and
many community banks as well as credit unions. Now, even
the Big Four are starting to feel the "heat." Recently,
each of these most-dirty banks pledged to divest from
coal — though not from other fossil fuels. Meanwhile,
shareholders in multiple giant oil corporations have
been revolting, forcing companies like ExxonMobil and
Chevron to finally start addressing their climate change
contributions. It's time for an epic wake-up
call in corporate financial America.

that banking institutions fully divest from all fossil
fuels, including oil and gas supplies! They must cease
funding our destruction
NOW!
