On April 22, 2017, at Vake Park, was
arranged an environmental educational event for celebrating EARTH DAY. The
action was organized by the U.S. Embassy in Georgia. NGO “EcoVision”
participated in this event. The aim of this action was to support environment
protection.
“EcoVision” arranged an eco-quiz and
its’ winners were rewarded with prizes. Hundreds of young people participated in
the quiz, which included questions from the following main environmental topics:
biodiversity, climate change, waste, energy efficiency and energy saving,
protected areas of the world and of Georgia, natural resources, etc. There was a
big number of questions from the natural sciences.
“EcoVision” also organized eco songs
karaoke, in which participated school children. They enjoyed singing songs about
different environmental topics.
NGO “EcoVision” also arranged fun
quizzes on biodiversity. A lot of people have listened to the voice of various
animals and birds, to guess which voice belonged to which species. The winners
of this quiz also were rewarded with memorable gifts.
“EcoVision” also organized “Trash-Art”
exhibition and presented various items made by waste. The representatives of the
NGO “EcoVision” distributed environmental magazines and brochures among event
visitors.
