| Spanish supporters raise
awareness among attendees of a travel fair in
Madrid that tourism and evictions are harming
tigers and tribes in India.

Dear
Vladimir,
Last month we wrote to you about our tiger
boycott. We asked you to pledge not to visit
any of India's tiger reserves until tribal
peoples' rights are respected, and many of you
responded!
The truth is, tribal peoples and
tigers have been living alongside each other in
India's forests for generations. But now, tribal
peoples are being forced off their land, while
tourists are welcomed. It’s destroying
communities, it’s illegal, and it’s also not good
for tiger conservation.
The good news is
that our boycott has been making waves around the world. A
host of famous faces from India and the UK have
come out in support of the global campaign, along
with tribal peoples themselves. The Jenu Kuruba
spoke out powerfully against the evictions, asking
"Who has empowered the Forest Department to take
our freedom?"
Please join Survival’s
tourism boycott of all India’s tiger reserves
until tribal peoples’ rights are respected! If you
haven't already, you can pledge your support here →
With
thanks,
Survival International
