Donald Trump is salivating to tell US voters he’s done a
deal so American megafarms can sell hormone-stuffed beef and
chlorinated chicken from Paris to Prague.
Right now, these nasty products are banned in Europe.
But Phil Hogan, the EU Trade Commissioner, could be
prepared to offer Trump the chance to flood Europe with nightmare
meats in order to strike a new trade agreement in
the next few weeks.
When the same threat happened with TTIP, the giant transatlantic
trade deal, millions of us spoke out and scrapped the deal. We can
do it again if we can show Phil Hogan a fast and overwhelming public
outcry sparked by his comments.

Yes,
I can chip in $1 to keep nightmare meats off our shelves.
This new trade agreement is coming up fast. The EU President just
said it could be weeks away. Once these nightmare meats -- and
potentially banned pesticides too -- are on European shelves, there
will be no going back.
Phil Hogan, the EU trade commissioner, knows that letting these
foods into Europe is controversial.
It looks like he’s testing the waters, seeing what Europeans will
accept right now. Please help send the EU a strong warning
that we won’t tolerate nightmare meats on our shelves.

I
can donate $1 because the food we eat matters.
It was because you and 3 million people like you spoke out that
together we blocked TTIP, the predecessor to this deal.
SumOfUs members have also helped win many of the higher EU food
standards we want to safeguard now -- most recently including a ban
on the brain-damaging pesticide chlorpyrifos, which is still legal
in the US. It’ll all be lost if we let this deal go ahead.

I
can chip in $1 to defend our food from a Trump trade deal
disaster.
