Earlier in February, UN MCGY initiated a blog
series to reflect the views of young people on the implementation,
monitoring, follow-up, and review of the Sustainable Development Goals
(SDGs). We received an overwhelming response from youth from diverse set of
countries like Nigeria, Egypt, Kenya, Pakistan, Russia, USA, Poland and
India.
These blogs focused on Goals 1, 2, 3, 5, 9, 14,
& 17 - providing context to help inform our work in thematic reviews,
shadow reporting, and national reviews during the 2017 High Level Political
Forum.
We are now open to receive the next round of blog
submissions until June 1.
Realising that the SDGs are manifested differently
in different contexts, cultures, and situations - we want to hear the views of
young people directly on issues pertaining to the implementation, monitoring,
follow-up, and review of SDGs.
We invite YOU (within the scope of the
selected goals) to tell us:
- What they are passionate about
- Emerging trends/issues in their
communities
- Progress in implementing the SDGs within their
national/local context!
A few guidelines - include citations; at least one
image/infographic and follow the word limit of 500-900 words.
Please share widely within your networks to
encourage youth leaders to submit their entries!
Looking forward to your submissions!
