The Winners of the Contest "Clean Region" has been Announced



On December 2, the award ceremony of the Contest "Clean Region" was held
within the framework of the campaign "Clean Up Georgia", organized by the
Greens Movement of Georgia / Friends of the Earth-Georgia and the Ministry
of Environment and Natural Resources Protection, with support of Tbilisi
City Assembly.



The Contest "Clean Region" was announced in April 2017 and held in five
nominations. The goal of the contest was to identify the country's most
clean region, municipality, city / borough, village / community and a
beautiful yard.



Representatives of regions, towns, municipalities, villages and population
groups participating in the contest were able to send photos and video
materials about their residence during the 6-month period of the
competition.



On the basis of submitted materials, the winners were revealed in the
nominations by special commission established within the framework of the
contest (including representatives of  NGOs,  the Ministry of Environment
Protection and Natural Resources and  the Embassy of Sweden)
