Hi,
The bulldozers are rolling: the home of bears, wolves and eagles are being destroyed. Their once peaceful natural refuge in Bulgaria is being torn apart to build a giant motorway between Greece and Germany.
This destruction is illegal and unnecessary. There’s a better, alternative path for this section of the motorway. Frans Timmermans is Vice-President of the EU Commission and he is the one person who can fix this.
If we can prove to Timmermans that illegal destruction is going on, he will act to stop it rather than give his opponents the chance to brand him ineffective and weak. Especially because he wants voters to help him become President of the European Commission in a matter of weeks.
We want to hire an expert drone video-maker to film the destruction and deliver this proof to Frans Timmermans. Our budget is very tight – we urgently need to raise 3,500 euros. Can you chip in to protect bears, wolves and eagles?

Here’s our plan persuade Timmermans to intervene and stop the bulldozers: If enough people from our community chip in, we’ll combine drone footage with a detailed map to give unmistakable evidence about the extent of the destruction.
Sending this film to his Twitter account will ensure his attention and could give him the evidence and motivation to act. And we’ll back it up by showing him how many of us are watching. Our petition signed by more than 165,000 Europeans will pile on the pressure.
And there’s more – we plan to send experts to provide us with the facts on the ground including GPS coordinates, extensive photos of the destruction and a detailed list of all regulations and laws violated.
But we can’t do any of it unless we raise the funds - and fast. Every day that passes is another day the bulldozers could be tearing down trees and churning up the earth. Can you donate to protect the animals that call the refuge home?
