Dear,
From the time
we made The Story of Bottled
Water, Nestlé/BlueTriton has
been accustomed to regulatory settings where
they run the show: they get softball questions,
regulatory officers seem to fawn over them, and
in the end, they get to continue draining
watersheds and filling plastic
bottles.
But this time around, it’s
different. The California Water
Board hearings on the Arrowhead Springs are not
going as BlueTriton expected. Their lawyers are
being challenged on the facts, having their
nonsense motions dismissed, and being held to
task in a way they are clearly not used
to!
It’s
a moment of
accountability that our years-long
campaign – and your support – has finally made
possible, and we’re closer than ever to
returning more water to the San
Bernardino National Forest than was used to
create artificial snow for the 2022 Winter
Olympics. Will
you help us down this
homestretch?
The Story of
Stuff Project has been paying 100% of the legal
bills for the San Bernardino campaign since
2015, totaling $300,000. In the last 3 months,
we've spent over $100,000 in legal fees. For
context, we haven’t spent this much on legal
fees in the last 4 years combined.
But that’s just how important
this campaign is – a milestone in our journey to
reclaim precious water from corporate
theft.
With your help, we’re sending a clear message to
bottling operations across the country: water
belongs in rivers and mountain streams, not
plastic bottles! Help
us get across the finish line
today.
