Dear colleagues,
I would like to invite you to participate in the capacity-building workshop “Promoting Industrial Energy Efficiency in Ukraine and Neighbouring Countries” on 27-28 May 2019 in Kiev (Kyiv), Ukraine. The event is jointly organized by UNIDO and UNECE in partnership with the State Agency on Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving of Ukraine (SAEE). The venue of the event is InterContinental Kyiv Hotel.
Taking into consideration the status of industrial developments in Ukraine and countries of South-Eastern and Eastern Europe, the Caucasus, and Central Asia, the workshop aims at creating an effective platform for dialogue between policy-makers and industries to facilitate the development of common understanding about challenges facing widespread industrial energy efficiency implementation. Engagement between energy intensive companies (the policy end-user) and policymakers is of paramount importance for implementation of National Energy Efficiency Action Plans and other energy efficiency policies and strategies in the countries. Through peer-learning and exchange of experience the workshop will demonstrate how taking into consideration the perspectives of the policy end-user concerning technical, business, and confidence challenges can contribute to the development of effective policy and national strategies.
The event will include the Policy-Industry high-level dialogue, formal presentations, panel discussions and break-out sessions.
