Dear Friend,
We are facing an unprecedented public health and economic crisis because of the coronavirus pandemic. In just a couple of weeks, people's lives and livelihoods all over the country have been turned upside down.
Contact your Senators and Congressmember now.
We can and will get through this, first and foremost by protecting and supporting each other. But we need Congress to act BOTH to tackle the coronavirus AND to make sure no one goes under in the process.
Right now, Congress is preparing to mobilize trillions of dollars to respond to the crisis. But we need to make sure it goes to supporting people, not bailing out corporations with no strings attached.
Tell Congress: We need a People's Response to the Pandemic!
Make no mistake -- nuclear corporations and other dirty energy industries are trying to cash in on the pandemic. This week, the Nuclear Energy Institute is pushing Congress to put billions in nuclear subsidies in the pandemic relief bill. That can't happen.
We need to turn this around.
