The World Health Organization is
calling for equitable distribution of an
eventual COVID-19 vaccine around the world and
noted that all 54 African countries have signed
up to participate in COVAX, a program to develop
and distribute a vaccine the WHO is co-leading
with UNICEF. The health agency said widespread
availability of a fully tested vaccine is

push by Group of Four members India, Japan,
Germany and Brazil for a formal reform process
at the United Nations Security Council in lieu
of informal talks. China and Italy have pushed
back against the move on behalf of United for
