Now Accepting Nominations for the 2026 Goldman Environmental Prize! 🌍🏆 ⏰ Nominations are due March 3, 2025, by 5:00 pm PST ⏰ The Goldman Prize recognizes grassroots environmental heroes from the world’s six inhabited continental regions: Africa, Asia, Europe, Islands & Island Nations, North America, and South & Central America. Prize winners receive an unrestricted award of $200,000 US dollars, global recognition and exposure, defense support and networking opportunities, and life-long credibility as Goldman Prize winners. The Goldman Prize is presented as part of a two-week tour in San Francisco and Washington, DC, in April, 2026. Three Step Nomination Process 1️⃣ Review the Criteria and Nominations Terms 1️⃣ All nominees must have attained a recent, specific environmental achievement during or after April 2022 to be considered for the 2026 Goldman Prize.  2026 Nomination Criteria & Terms 2️⃣ Confirm Nominee Eligibility 2️⃣ Prior to submitting the nomination, please send the names of the candidates you wish to nominate directly to nomin...@goldmanprize.org so we can check if the nominee(s) has an active nomination. We will not accept nominations or provide honoraria for any nominee that has an active nomination. 3️⃣ Submit a Nomination 3️⃣ Submit nominations and/or updates in the nomination portal by Monday, March 3, 2025 at 5:00 pm PST. If your nomination advances to the semifinalist round, Prize staff will contact nominators in mid-March to request a full nomination. Full nominations will be due Friday, May 2, 2025.
