The
world is becoming a more turbulent place with a
more extreme and unpredictable changing climate,
more frequent natural hazards, and increased
violent conflicts. In the face of these
increasing shocks and stresses, it is essential
to increase knowledge and capacities in
resilience and climate change to better address
the climate crisis in development projects and
programs.
This is why CARE is
launching the CARE Climate and Resilience
Academy. It is a website with free online
training resources on climate and resilience,
drawing on CARE’s 17 years of experience
implementing climate change adaptation and
resilience projects. The short online
courses allow you to learn
more about topics, such as climate change,
becoming climate smart and CARE’s increasing
resilience approach. The trainer
packs support you to facilitate
the training of others. For a more
intensive learning experience, we invite CARE
colleagues to apply to join CARE’s learning
journeys. From September
2020, these learning journeys will also be
available to external
applicants.
Please visit careclimatechange.org/academy
to find out more. We will be launching
additional materials over the coming
months.
If you have any questions please
write to Hayley Capp, the Coordinator of the
CARE Climate and Resilience Academy, at ca...@careinternational.org.

updates, please sign up to the mailing

wishes,
