Hi,
Watch the eagle fly and the wolf patrol its territory... what amazing scenery. But bulldozers are about to dig their way through this last refuge for those protected species. Two people can still prevent it. Let's show them what they'll destroy if they don’t act now. Watch the video, and then click "Next" or "Sign" on the right to send it to key decision-makers!
The Bulgarian Transport Minister doesn't care about nature, but the Bulgarian Prime Minister, Bojko Borisov, can easily overrule his decision and move the construction of the motorway to an alternative route. The alternative route is simpler to build, it's safer, and it will better serve those that will use it – and it's the last hope for nature in the Kresna Gorge.
Karmenu Vella is European Commissioner for the Environment. He is supposed to be the supreme guardian of our nature. He can make sure that the Kresna Gorge remains protected by European environmental law.
Right now is the time to act, as there is an important meeting taking place this week that could change everything. [1] Our partners will be there and will present our case – and they'll even show the video below. If we send thousands of messages with the video to the key decision-makers at the same time as the meeting, this could have huge impact.

Our video shows the strength of our movement of Europeans. The 3D art you'll see in the video was organised with our partners (Friends of the Earth and the Coalition for Nature Bulgaria) in the heart of Sofia to attract attention to the destruction in the Kresna Gorge. Bulgarian media widely reported our protest and decision-makers in Bulgaria are well aware of our action.
The pressure is already on, and if we come together from all over Europe to save this iconic natural beauty, we can really make a difference. Already 140,000 of us have signed the petition to save Kresna. Let’s keep up the pressure.
Hopeful and inspired by this wonderful video,
Mika (Bordeaux), Jörg (Lübeck), Virginia (Madrid), and the rest of us at WeMove.EU
PS: In May we attended demonstrations in Sofia. People were furious about their politicians selling-off this beautiful piece of nature to investors. Protesters in Bulgaria appreciated our support coming from all corners of Europe – together we can stop this disaster.
