Goodbye Massimo.

Following the death of Massimo Bordin the thoughts of the members of the Radical Party and of the List Marco Pannella are with the family.

Massimo gave voice, heart and brain to the radical life of the Radio and the Party, succeeding in a sublime way to bridge the gap between culture and politics.

The messages that are arriving in these hours to the Party and to the Radio, inextricably link the condolences for the disappearance of Massimo to the life of Radio Radicale, a further confirmation of the fact that Massimo had bound his life to that of the Radio.

In thirty years of activity he left an indelible mark, both human and professional on Radio Radicale.

His penultimate speech, which he gave on February 22nd at the Italian Congress of the Radical Party is a testimony of his life, and ultimately of Radio Radicale.

On Thursday, the European Parliament by 505 votes in favour, 18 against, with 47 abstentions adopted a resolution taking stock of human rights violation in China. Parliament is concerned about the incrisingly repressive regime that many religious and ethnic minorities, such us Uyghurs, Kazakhs, Tibetans and Christians, are facing in China. It calls on the Chinese Government to put an end to arbitrary detentions, witrout any charge, trial or conviction for criminal offence, of members of Uyghur and Kazakh minority and Tibetans and it calls for the immediate release of arbitrarily detained people, prisoners of conscience, including practitioners of Falun Gong and for a stop to be put to enforced disappearances.

On Thursday, the European Parliament adopted a resolution taking stock of human rights violation in Brunei. MEPs strongly condemn the entry into force of the Sharia Penal Code in Brunei that introduces the death penalty by stoning for consensual same-sex acts, extramarital sex and abortion, as well as amputation for stealing, for both adults and children. They express concern that while many countries are decriminalising consensual same sex acts, Brunei has become the seventh country to punish them.
