Every day, the food industry destroys the earth’s forests to make space for cattle, palm oil or cocoa to sell their products in Europe’s supermarkets. But the EU could help stop this by passing a law that could ban products that destroy forests. It all starts in just a few days. Sign Now.

Hi,

No one wants to buy products that destroy old-growth forests on the other side of the planet, but it's very hard not to. Many of our everyday products like cosmetics, snacks, and meat are made by ravaging the most beautiful forests on the planet, and clearing space for palm oil, cocoa, or cattle.

This could all change soon. In a few days, the European Union will start negotiating a new law to ban products made in deforested areas.

If this law passes, it could force the biggest food companies to completely change the way they make their products - because Europe is such a big market it actually has the power to change how these companies operate. [1]

It’s not a surprise that very well paid lobbyists are finetuning their plans to get the EU leaders to water down this law. But we have something they don't: people power. We joined a coalition of over 170 partners and we are a community of action of nearly 1.2 million people. Together we are building a strategy and organising eye-catching stunts.

EU leaders will start the negotiation in a few days. Add your name to build a huge wave of support to save our Earth’s forests!

All we need to know from you is this: if you care about this issue, please sign and forward the petition to your friends. It takes one minute and as a valued member of our community, we really want to know what you think!

With hope,
