Hi,

Everytime I try to download the episode it seems to stop before the
download is complete. Sometimes I get 20Mbytes other times 50Mbytes,
but I never seem to get the whole download. I've tried the quicktime
version and the Iphone version, same problem. Is there a problem with
S3? I'm using a Mac with Firefox.

The error I get is:

"/Users/robertharvey/Downloads/Envycast-1-Advanced-ActiveRecord-
mov(2).zip.part could not be saved, because the source file could not
be read.

Try again later, or contact the server administrator."

Cheers,
Rob

Weird, I've talked to a few other people who have had trouble with
amazon s3, but have yet to figure out why this happens.

I will need to setup an alternate download site I guess.

Out of curiosity, how fast are you able to transfer the file? What
sort of internet connection are you on?

love your stuff ... what can i say that hasn't been said already ...

but i too had trouble downloading this screencast:
- using IE7 i got "connection reset by server" messages while
attempting to download
- using FF2 it just never finished
- finally, i was successful using Safari 3 (winXP)
i'm on a fast (most times) cable connection.

i admit, i'm a sucker for this stuff, but I haven't had any problems
with
railscasts (albeit smaller vids), peepcode, or other vids which will
remain unmentioned

for 9 bucks i was expecting a live performance in my living room, or
something akin
to opening ceremony for the olympics in china :-)

keep up the inspiration

Thanks for the reply - I'm on a 2.5Mbit ADSL connection and I think it
downloads at max speed, but one time it stopped at 36% and hung. I
then paused the download in firefox and restarted and it got to 70%
and then I got the usual error.

Just to let you know - I have now managed to download that
successfully. Thanks!
