Acterra Stewardship is announcing its 10 week habitat restoration summer internship for college students and recent graduates. Each week will cover a different habitat restoration topic including: native plants, invasive species, water quality monitoring, stream bio-engineering and surveying, ethnobotany, geology, and entomology. Three hours a week will be dedicated to in-class discussion with Acterra Stewardship Project Managers, Senior Ecologists, and other experienced staff members. The majority of the program is outdoors at our restoration sites assisting project managers with stewardship duties.
This internship is meant to help inspire and develop future stewards through education and hands-on training, and is a great opportunity to learn from top Bay Area ecological experts.
If approved by your advisor, this internship could fulfill 3-4 units of ENVS 194 (Environmental Internship). For more information and how to apply, you can read the attached PDF.
