Join SFBBO Waterbird Program Director Dr. Max Tarjan for a fun walk in Monterey. Max did her graduate research on Monterey Bay's sea otter population and will share her love for these and other Monterey species. You'll also get to learn about other Monterey species and their important ecosystems.

Join SFBBO citizen
scientists Tom Stewart and Martha Castillo for a fascinating bird banding demonstration at SFBBO's Coyote Creek Field Station in Milpitas. Adults and families with kids ages 7 and up can tour mist nest, explore riparian habitat and get a close-up look at birds.
Search for the elusive Snowy Plover with Plover Program Director Karine Tokatlia and Lead Biologist Ben Pearl!

Plover Walk, Sunday, Sept. 11
 
Join SFBBO Plover Program Director Karine Tokatlian and SFBBO Plover Lead Biologist Ben Pearl for a Plover-spotting adventure at Hayward's Eden Landing Ecological Reserve to seek out this adorable bird and learn what SFBBO is doing to protect this vulnerable, threatened species.
