Scholarship and Award Information - 2017 AIHA-NCS

To AIHA-NCS Members and Student members,

We are proud to announce that applications from eligible students for the 2017 AIHA-NCS Student Awards are being accepted by the Board.

The 2017 Student Awards include:

• The Bernard D. Tebbens Memorial Award (open to graduate students studying Environmental Health Sciences at the School of Public Health, UC Berkeley

• The Robert T. Legge Student Award, (open to students attending Bay Area college or university that offers a 4 year undergraduate and/or graduate degree in  industrial hygiene or related environmental health studies)

• The Dr. Charles H. Powell Student Award (open to students attending a Northern California college or university with coursework in Occupational Health and Safety sciences and demonstrated sincere interest or involvement in the safety profession)

Applications are due on March 26, 2017 to Mr. Margarito Bercilla, CIH, (margarito.bercilla@us.bureauveritas.com). Applications will be reviewed by the Board and the successful applicatnts will be presented at the Student and Vendors Night Dinner Meeting on April 5, 2017 at Spenger’s Fresh Fish Grotto, in Berkeley.  The Local Section will waive all dinner fees for all eligible students attending, whether applicants for the Awards or not.
