Please see the attached announcement about a local science-based non-profit that needs help for their 2017 Snowy Plover Program. SFBBO has been protecting the federally threatened western snowy plover for 13 years, but has virtually no funding to continuing doing so in 2017. Please save the date for Thursday, December 17th to help contribute (tax-deductible!) to this organization's monitoring efforts of this tiny shorebird.

Hi Emily and Laura!

 

On December 15, 2016 SFBBO is launching a crowdfunding campaign to support our Snowy Plover Program.  We currently have zero funding to continue our work at Eden Landing in 2017, where 72% of plovers breed every year.  A concerning prospect for us who are committed to protecting them from extinction.

 

I’d be so grateful if you’d help us reach our fundraising goal by promoting our campaign.  Can you please share this teaser email/flyer with the ENVS department?  Or with friends and family.  Our campaign goes live on December 15 when we hope to raise $25K by the end of the year! 

 

On December 15 I’ll send another message with our campaign page link where folks can learn more about our project and make a donation.
