ENVS alumni: join us on campus on Earth Day, Thursday April 23, 2-6 pm: WSQ ENVS garden AND announcing Maurice Colburt Scholarship

Hello ENVS@SJSU undergraduate and graduate ALUMNI,

Can you believe it has been five years since we all shut down for COVID?!? It is clearly past time for us to get together IN PERSON, to celebrate our time together at SJSU. Five years ago, we had to reinvent what it meant to be a university... some of us went to hide out at a farm in Oregon, others found ourselves learning a new Zoom language... and it has taken a while to regain our in-person connection. But the need to save our planet has not gotten any less critical. 

We are now proposing that as many of us as can make it 

come together as ENVS alumni (Bachelor's or Master's) on

Earth Day, Thursday April 23, 

from 2 to 6 pm

for an informal reception in the WSQ garden on campus 

to reconnect, reminisce, celebrate a new scholarship, and generally plan how to work together to fix everything that still needs work on our fragile planet.

We will also be presenting the first Maurice Colburt Memorial Scholarship recipients from the Earth Day stage at 1 p.m., so come early if you can, join us for the ceremony, and meet Maurice's family. Pass the word!
