Hello!  I am a K-2 science teacher at Almaden Country School in San Jose.  I am currently teaching a middle school elective class about biomimicry (innovations inspired by nature).  In this elective, my students are investigating how to create sustainable solutions for human problems by looking to nature for inspiration. They are currently working in teams to design and build models of nature-inspired houses that can withstand certain extreme weather conditions or natural disasters. I am trying to coordinate a panel of people (engineer, architect, biologist, environmental studies person) to listen to my students' presentations and give them feedback about their designs and possible suggestions for improvement.
