Subject: [EJ NCal:] Two Lecturer Positions at Santa Clara University for 2026/27



Dear Colleagues,

The Department of Environmental Studies and Sciences at Santa Clara University is looking for two lecturers for the next academic year. Please consider applying and/or sharing these opportunities with your networks and qualified candidates.  

Both positions are annual (not tenure-track) positions to teach undergraduate courses on the quarter system, with a start date of September 1, 2026, and fall quarter classes beginning September 21, 2026.  Review of the applications begins May 26, 2026

1. Lecturer in Geospatial Analysis. This role focuses on teaching core geospatial skills. Anticipated courses include Introduction to GIS, Intermediate GIS, and Introduction to Coding for Geospatial Analysis (Python-based). There may also be opportunities to teach Remote Sensing or Statistics. View details and apply here  

2. Lecturer in Environmental Science. This role involves teaching foundational environmental science. Anticipated courses include Introduction to Earth Systems (lecture and lab) and "My Environment," an introductory course for non-majors, also with an associated lab. View details and apply here
