Please see attached for a plea from our local burrowing owl conservation team needing volunteers to help spruce up borrows in time for the burrowing owl breeding season!

Vegetation Management Volunteer Event
Bufferlands (WWTP) in San José
Friday, April 14th from 9am – 12pm

The burrowing owls have begun to select their burrows for breeding season! This means we need extra help to spruce up the area to make the neighborhood more appealing! We need to inhibit predators and promote clean burrows and foraging grounds. Enjoy learning about vegetation management techniques while restoring western burrowing owl habitat at the Bufferlands in northern San José.

Contact Eric Lynch for details: ely...@SFBBO.org
RSVP by this Wednesday!
Meet near 298 Nortech Parkway, San Jose, CA
Only 18 minutes from SJSU: goo.gl/maps/WRHBP5MkvkH2

There will also be an event from 9am - 12pm on Sunday, April 30th.
