Please join us for a special talk, “Photographing Antarctica”, with conservationist and amateur photographer Steve Mandel. His photos have been displayed at the Smithsonian and he’ll talk about the fun, the challenges, and some of the environmental dangers facing Antarctica. The talk will feature images of wildlife in the Falklands, South Georgia Island, and the Antarctic Peninsula.  The talk includes a short video on icebergs shot with conventional cameras, a special remotely controlled “split” camera used to photograph above the surface and below the surface shots of icebergs, and drone footage.  For questions or to RSVP, please visit sfbbo.org or email outr...@sfbbo.org
