The Lewis & Clark Jewish Student Association, in collaboration with Arabic Club and with additional sponsorship from Ethnic Studies, General Education, Middle East & North African Studies, History, Religious Studies, Art, Rhetoric & Media Studies, Muslim Student Association, Prison Abolition Club, Harm Reduction Community Outreach Club, and the Feminist Student Union are pleased to present the film Gaza is our Home this upcoming Monday, February 2nd at 5pm in Council Chamber (Fowler Student Center). Gaza is our Home is a profoundly personal documentary that peels back the layers of devastation within the Gaza Strip, as witnessed through the lens of filmmaker Monear Shaer. His debut documentary was created out of agony as a timely, impactful, and tragic response to the collective anguish of all who call Gaza home.
Monear Shaer will be in attendance and there will be a post-screening Q&A along with a presentation and dialogue on recently uncovered 8mm archival family footage of Gaza from 1993-2005.
Screening is free & open to the public and masks will be encouraged and provided. Questions?
