FYI -- VERY entry level (and not great pay), but still a great opportunity for a recent grad! I think our name recognition would be useful here, I know Jim personally. Someone please apply!

Hi WAHESC Folks!

Hope you're doing well! I wanted to reach out because we have an opening in the Gonzaga University Office of Sustainability that I think could be a great fit for someone in our network.

We're hiring a Program Coordinator—basically the person who keeps our sustainability initiatives running smoothly and connects the dots between students, administration, and community partners.

What they'll be doing: Supporting our Green Fund, coordinating student employees, representing us at campus and community events, and helping with our big-picture planning like AASHE STARS and our Climate Action Plan. It's part operations, part relationship-building, and all about making real sustainability progress happen.

Given the work we do in WA and your connections in the sustainability space, I figured you might know someone who'd be perfect for this—maybe a recent grad looking to break into higher ed sustainability, or someone ready to channel their passion for the environment into tangible campus change.

The ideal person:

  • Loves organizing and coordinating (but not just pushing paper—this stuff matters!)
  • Enjoys bringing people together around a common cause
  • Wants to empower students and build real partnerships
  • Gets excited about systems-level change

If anyone comes to mind, I'd really appreciate you sharing this with them. Applications are due November 25, and can be found here. Thank you!

Best,

Jim
