Good morning!

The Center for Social Change is once again partnering with the Nielson Family to offer the Nielson Social Change Innovation Grant. The grant application is open and we will be accepting applications until March 31st.

This grant provides Lewis & Clark College undergraduate students with funds to cover costs such as equipment or technology, educational resources, travel expenses, or other items used to strengthen grassroots efforts for progressive, systemic social change either in the US or abroad.

The grant prioritizes applications that address community outreach and education, leadership development, root cause and power analysis, and coalition building. Amounts awarded range from $500-$5000.

If you know anyone that is interested in applying or that would be a strong candidate, please direct them towards the Center for Social Change either in person or online. Please feel free to see what other students have accomplished. This is truly an incredible opportunity for students to enact tangible change within their communities.

Online resources for the grant application and previous submissions can be found on the Nielson Social Change Innovation Grant website.

We will also be hosting a Grant Proposal Review Session on March 17th at 4:30 PM in Fowler, Room 350. Students can come to that event with draft proposals and any questions.

You'll find a flyer attached for the grant that can be shared with students. Questions can be directed to lead...@lclark.edu or in-person in Fowler Student Center, Room 320.

Thank you for sharing with your students and please let me know if you have any questions.

Kind regards,

Maggie Musty (She/Her)
