Hello!
I am reaching out on behalf of Portland Parks & Recreation about an opportunity that may be of interest to you and your students to get involved in community-based natural resource management. October 25th from 9-12noon is the 22nd Annual No Ivy Day. Since 2011, Portland Parks & Recreation and partner organizations have joined together to host volunteer events and educate Portlanders about the importance of removing English ivy and other invasively growing species. Join us at one of the many locations throughout the city to volunteer. Then, come over to at the newly renovated Mt. Scott Community Center for the first Know-Ivy Crafting Workshop from 1-3pm. There, we will share knowledge, get creative and connect with community. No experience necessary!
You can learn more and register by visiting the No Ivy Day 2025 website and help us spread the word with the attached flyer. Let me know if you have any questions!
Hope to see you out there!
Thank you,
