Subject: Portland-Made Documentary Premiere — Share with Students?
To: <admis...@lclark.edu>, <vp...@lclark.edu>

Hello Lewis & Clark College,

I hope this message finds you well. I am reaching out on behalf of Community Energy Project, a local nonprofit that partners with low-income communities on the front lines of climate change to create more resilient, efficient, and healthy homes.

We have an exciting upcoming event that students at Lewis & Clark might be interested in attending, and I'm reaching out to see if it would be possible to promote this to your student body. On May 29th, we are hosting a screening of Grassroots to the Grid, a Portland-made documentary that spotlights the neighbors, advocates, and organizations driving clean energy and climate action across our city. The film explores how grassroots efforts are challenging systems, shaping policy, and creating lasting change in our community.

We would greatly appreciate your help in spreading the word to students who may be interested in sustainability, environmental studies, or community-based activism. This could be through a newsletter, bulletin board, classroom announcement, or any other channels you use to share opportunities. I am happy to provide a PDF flyer, blurb, or any other information you may need.

Event Details:

  • Date: Friday, May 29

  • Time:

  • Location: The Redd (831 SE Salmon St., Portland, OR 97214)

Please let me know if you have any questions. Looking forward to hearing back!

Thank you,

--
