Tuesday, March 10th at 3:30pm in Miller 205, Reiko Hillyer is holding an in-person information session for students and faculty interested in learning about her fall 2026 Inside-Out class, History 338: Crime and Punishment in the United States, and how to apply. Please share with all who may be interested. (More details, including how to apply, below the poster.)

Inside-Out Prison Exchange is a nationwide program that brings together college students and incarcerated students to engage in a semester-long college course. Founded over two decades ago at Temple University, the program’s slogan is “social change through transformative education.” The program offers college classes in a range of subjects in prisons across the country and worldwide. In fall 2026, Reiko will offer History 338: Crime and Punishment through its auspices.

Students who wish to apply should complete this online application form by Friday, March 20th.

Enrollment is limited and upon approval of the instructor by application only. Applications are due on Friday, March 20th at 11:59pm. Please email Professor Hillyer at rhil...@lclark.edu with any questions.

Note: Class from 1 - 4pm on Fridays and held off-campus at the Columbia River Correctional Institution (CRCI).
