Good morning everyone! 

It is Animal Law week at the Law School! Join them for some interesting events related to animal liberation and activism. See the list of events below for further information. 

TUESDAY, MARCH 10 (today), 12:10-1 PM, Legal Research Center LOUNGE
"Join LC ALDF for the annual MeatOut event. MeatOut celebrates Portland’s vegan food scene and encourages our campus community to consider plant-based options. Food will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. To reduce waste, please bring your own tupperware and serve yourself only as much food as you will eat."

THURSDAY, MARCH 12, 12:10-1:10 PM, McCARTY ROOM 3

"Join LC ALDF for Taking Individual Action for Animals, a multimedia exploration of the history of the animal liberation movement. This talk will highlight key events to show how early activists demanded change and impacted the modern scope of animal advocacy. This event is a prelude to LC ALDF’s evening reception."

THURSDAY, MARCH 12, 7-9 PM, Legal Research Center LOUNGE
Join LC ALDF for the annual Animal Law Week reception featuring animal activist Zoe Rosenberg, who was sentenced to 90 days in jail for rescuing 4 sick chickens from a slaughterhouse. Through discussion, historical artifacts, and community, explore how open rescue challenges industrial animal agriculture and advances justice for animals. Refreshments provided by Vtopian Artisan Cheeses. There will also be a silent auction benefiting Lighthouse Farm Sanctuary." RSVP Needed, to do so click here.
