Hello!
This is Christiana San Diego sending an email on behalf of the Center for Social Change and Community Involvement. Eliel Martinez, an economics and rhetoric and media studies major, helped film this documentary. We have been working together to share it with students at LC to engage them with issues faced in the Portland community off campus. I am hoping you can forward this to your department as I am trying to outreach to as many students as possible. Details are below!

We are hosting an educational screening of 'Helpers' documentary on Thursday, March 12th 5pm-6pm in Miller 102 with an emerging local Portland non-profit organization 'Common Lens' to learn about houselessness in our local community. We will be watching a short film on houselessness in Portland and its overlap with substance abuse. Kelly Clendenon, the director of the film and founder of Common Lens, will be providing a Q & A session after the film. Snacks will be provided! RSVP Here: https://www.givepulse.com/event/846018
