Subject: Part-time Student Macroinvertebrate Monitoring Position

I'm reaching out again with an opportunity for Lewis & Clark Biology and Environmental Studies undergraduate and graduate students. We are looking to hire 2 Student Research and Education Assistants this fall to assist with field surveys on the Kellogg Creek Student Macroinvertebrate Monitoring Program.

This is a great opportunity for students interested in stream ecology and/or environmental education, and looking to gain field experience. This is a part-time position with approximately 15-30 hours between October - November, depending on student availability. All surveys take place during normal school hours (8 am - 4pm, M-F). Student Research Assistants will be working with students from 6th-12th grade, demonstrating stream macroinvertebrate survey techniques and helping students with macroinvertebrate identification. Previous experience with stream macroinvertebrate surveys is a bonus, but not required.

An image is included below with the position description and additional details about the role, qualifications, and application process. Applications are due August 16th at 5pm.

Thanks!
