Hi all,

I'll throw some RELS courses into the summer ring, as well.

For the first semester, I'll be offering RELS102: Food and Religion where we explore the intersection between food and religious practices in North America--communion, potlucks, and Whole Foods! In the first semester, I'll also be offering RELS107: Religion through the Small Screen. We learn a little about the history of religion in the US and explore how the media of television depicts religion and, perhaps, becomes a form of religious expression and practice?

And if students are looking for a 2-credit course, in the second semester I'll be offering RELS202: Sacred Space. Students will visit sacred spaces from various religious traditions and use religious studies theoretical models to understand how and why they work.

Happy summer!

Susanna

Regular announcements that do not invite back-and-forth discussion (e.g., "tickets on sale for the Dance Extravaganza", "workshop to be hosted by Gen Ed./Core") and official College business may be sent to the cas-f...@lclark.edu email address. But all "conversations" have a home at cas-...@lclark.edu. If you would like to subscribe to this College of Arts and Sciences opt-in/opt-out discussion-based listserv or have any questions about CAS listservs, please contact Debbie Richman in the Dean's office.
