Dear all, if you're looking for an important skills class, I'm following up on a Bates Center recommendation for the below.
If you wonder how project management might be relevant, well, I asked the instructor that question directly! She suggests the following to students: "Don't you plan to graduate: isn't that a project?" The point is that all kinds of things we do are projects, and of course we want to be successful, but project management is a skill you can learn.

T, Th 1:50 PM - 3:20 PM
Organized practicum in a select industry, with strong academic, experiential, and preprofessional components. Past topics include digital marketing, investment management, real estate, the music industry, and brewing. Instructor consent and sophomore standing required.
Students will have a real project with a real sponsor. One ex:
Bob's Red Mill. Four presentations, feedback, "positive criticism." 6-8 students in a team, typically 3 projects per class.
